Topping Instructions
- For the cake: Pour oats into boiling water. Set aside
- Cream oils and sugars. Add eggs and mix well. Add oatmeal mixture and mix well.
- Add baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Mix well. Add flour and mix well.
- Pour batter into a greased and floured 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes.
- For the topping: In a medium saucepan, add butter, sugar, milk, baking powder, coconut, and salt. Mix well. Bring to a boil. Fold in nuts. Pour hot mixture over the cake.
